Verona by Bike

Cycling allows you to quickly reach the borders of the old city and drive along intact town-walls that surround Verona like a green belt. We will see a luxuriant vegetation and 5 monumental gates of the XVI c., which in the last century still served as the entrance to the city.

In addition to the historical centre, where all tourists are concentrated, we will also see the old Verona across the river, where most of the buildings belong to Church orders. Verona is a city of saints. Priests and nuns created numerous charitable institutions.

We will also see an elegant green quarter, where the oldest well-off Veronese live.

There are bike paths, but we will sometimes run along quiet ordinary roads and pedestrian and non-pedestrian bridges.
